In general, I'm not a fan of serialized romance. But I decided to give this title a try and I'm glad I did. I enjoyed discovering Jace, the new move-in with an exciting Hollywood glitter in the small, inconsequential town. Kat doesn't want to fall for him, much less distract her tightly scheduled life. She has to be careful with her time, her money, her scarce minutes with her little son (because of a stupid ex-husband), and Jace could prove to be a serious distraction. The chemistry between them is off the charts, believable, and beneath the glamour of his syndicated reality show, his nobility and honor are seriously attractive. And he sees Kat for herself, something no one has done for her since before her pregnancy. Who wouldn't fall for him?This first installment of a five novella serial runs 80 pages (according to Amazon). Each section is $0.99 (at the present time) and each one is approximately the same length (76 to 85 pages). About 5 bucks for a 400 page novel (in whole)--one reason why I'm not a huge fan of serials. But at least the whole thing is published and ready to read. The story is there, and it's well-told. Plenty stands in the way of Jace and Kat's happiness. I'm intrigued enough to read part 2.

I am really getting fed up with these "books" that are not complete. I did enjoy the first part high I will not purchase the next book. I would have probably purchase book two in the series had the first book been a complete story!!!
Great book but I was left hanging! But it's good to know there's more to come! So I will get right on it and start reading the series! Great character development and had me feeling that I was right there! Their feelings were my feelings. Loved the unique story and the assorted backgrounds of the characters and how they meshed with each other! Another great 👍 read by K B Winters.
I actually really enjoyed this storyline and could say it has a lot of potential to be a great book, with the exception that it is only an installment of the full story. Had I known in advance I would have gotten the box set to read as a whole. Very disappointing but would read this author again but will check ending first
This story is about Kat who has been lied too and cheated on by her idiot husband. In the divorce, she got screwed and her ex-married his mistress. Kat is hard working and raising her son with little support from the ex when in walks this dreamy, tatted, handsome, muscled guy and sparks are flying.
Very well written! To start out with a casual setting, and show just how quick things can change.Then the feel of meeting someone new and how the simple things can cause such a twist in it all.You want want to put it down!
Okay first let me say I Hate cliffhangers and serial books spread out over several volumes. This first part was really good. Kat is a divorced Mom of a 3 year old son working days in a diner as a waitress and going to school 3 nights a week for interior design. She has no time or interest in a relationship since catching her husband cheating with his secretary when her son was only a year old. Jace is Navy Seal not on active duty he is in the reserves. He is also a well known tattoo artist with his own TV reality show. He is new in town and is opening a tattoo parlor across the street from the diner where Kat works. They meet when he comes in for breakfast and there is major attraction on both sides.
Infidelity, lies, verbal abuse, hateful words, divorce, when a marriage ends due to infidelity, and then custody issues are strained,and one party is constantly trying to do things to make the other look bad, Kat is doing her best, since she is having to work, while going to school just to pay the bills, since the ex, basically screwed her over with child support. At every chance threatens to take her back to court over custody issues, now she has met Jace, a Reserve ex seal, tattoo artist, everyone judges, where will their story take them to?
